Our design is inspired by nature. Circles are inherent in many strong natural structures like bones and trees, where a hollow core with a circular cross-section provides a high strength-to-weight ratio.

FSC CERTIFIED
One unique feature of Daradec composite decking boards is their commitment to sustainability. Unlike traditional decking materials, Daradec is made from FSC-certified recycled hardwood. This means that at least 70% of the wood fiber in each board comes from post-consumer reclaimed materials, such as wood scraps or demolition debris. The remaining 30% comes from pre-consumer waste, like sawdust or shavings generated by manufacturing processes. By using recycled materials, Daradec helps reduce deforestation and conserve precious natural resources.
ENVIRONMENTALY SUSTAINABLE
Daradec decking incorporates high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composites, both commonly recycled plastics that contribute to a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional wood. This combination minimises environmental impact while delivering exceptional durability for your outdoor space.
HIDDEN CLIP SYSTEM
Unlike traditional decking secured directly with screws, Daradec boasts a hidden clip system. This innovative approach offers several advantages. Firstly, it eliminates unsightly screw holes, creating a clean and aesthetically pleasing deck surface. Secondly, and more importantly, the hidden clips allow the boards to expand and contract naturally with weather fluctuations. This flexibility prevents warping, buckling, and splitting, which are common problems with screw-down methods. ANTI MOVEMENT CLIP
Maintain consistent spacing between your deck boards with our innovative Anti-Movement Clips. These ingenious clips grip the boards and promote even expansion on both sides, ensuring a uniform gap throughout your deck. Install them on the joist closest to the centre of the composite decking board for optimal performance.

Weathering
As with all first-generation decking boards, Daradec composite decking will undergo a natural weathering and lightening process during the first 3-6 months after installation. This process is natural and due to the timber content, in the boards surface, reacting to the elements. Initially you may notice a change as natural oils and tannins from the timber fibres begin weather away. This process may be more visible in lighter coloured boards. Secondly, the Sun’s UV rays will begin to naturally lighten the timber fibres, just as they would with traditional timber decking.
Once this process has taken place, the rate of change will be nominal. This weathering will not affect board performance, durability or structural integrity.
